What is "Introduction to Astronomy" Newsletter?
Introduction to Astronomy is an electronic newsletter delivered periodically by email and on this Website. It includes discussion, articles, equipment reviews, current astronomical events, links to interesting Websites, and much more.

Who should subscribe?
As the name implies, Introduction to Astronomy assumes no prior background. All it requires is an interest in astronomy.

  • Beginners will find information that will help them explore & develop their interest
  • Experienced Amateurs will get the latest information on new equipment, computer control and imaging techniques
  • Astronomy & Nature Fans are invited to just come and browse the photos of our great universe

What Equipment Do You Need?
The night skies can be enjoyed with nothing but a pair of eyes and an appreciation for the magnificance of what is out there. A pair of binoculars will let you see a lot more, and a telescope, more yet. Add a CCD camera and the amateur can create images that were beyond the capabilities of professional observatories not that long ago. We'll try to always provide topics of interest for everybody with all different levels of equipment. You do not have to spend a lot of money to enjoy astronomy.

We Respect Your Privacy - Absolutely
Our promise to you ... we will not sell or otherwise share your email address with anyone. If you ever wish to leave us, just follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of any of our emails, and you will be removed from our list immediately. We wish to share our enthusiasm for astronomy with those who want to participate. We will never impose our messages on those who prefer not to receive them.
